On our website, you have access to booking a yacht charter 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. All you have to do is select which package type you would like, and follow the onscreen instructions to book. If you would prefer to speak to a Charter Manager before finalising your booking, you are welcome to call. Our office hours are Monday-Friday 08:30-18:30. If it is outside of our office hours, please send us an email and we will respond within 24 hours.

In order for us to secure your charter holiday, we require 50% of the total cost to be paid at the time of booking. The remaining 50% can be paid in cash (£ GBP only) during embarkation, or in advance through your dedicated charter manager. Our online booking system can accept debit and credit card payments through our secure payment partners, Worldpay. Cards accepted: Visa, Mastercard, Maestro and JCB. Unfortunately, we do not accept AMEX or Paypal at this time. For those that would like to pay via a bank transfer, please speak to your dedicated charter manager for The Life of Riley’s bank details.
Once you have booked, you will receive a confirmation email detailing your booking. Keep this email safe as it holds your personal username and password for viewing your booking online. Here, you are also able to pre-order and pay for any desired extras on your booking. In the run up to your yacht charter, your dedicated charter manager will be in contact with you and happy to assist with any questions you may have.
Known for its beautiful stretch of coast, the French Riviera is a very popular yacht haven for those looking to charter. Therefore, we always advise booking in advance to guarantee your preferred dates and activity reservations. However, before you book, please be aware that we only offer a 50% refund if you wish to cancel your charter holiday.
If you paid via card, refunds can take up to 10 business working days to reach your account. If the payment has only just
been made, we cannot issue a refund until the money has been debited into our account. As all payments are taken in GBP £, all
refunds have to be processed in the same currency and will be debited back to the account you originally paid from.
We will do our best to try and accommodate last minute bookings. If you are looking to travel within 1 week, our website will
not allow you to book online. In this case, please call or email our team and they will be happy to look into what options we may
have for you. To avoid disappointment and ensure you have the perfect itinerary for you and your guests, we recommend you make any
bookings at least a couple of months in advance.
No. We include all fuel costs within the total price of your package so you can sit back and relax knowing you will not have any
additional costs waiting for you at the end of the day.
Please ensure you have all necessary travel documents that you will need in the event that the boat gets stopped by
French customs. This is nothing to worry about, it is just a simple maritime procedure. This may include Visas however,
please check with your countries Embassy if you are unsure. For those that do need Visas, please be aware that they can
take some time to process and we advise checking their processing time prior to making any booking. If for any reason your
Visa is not processed in time for you to attend your yacht charter, we cannot be held responsible and our Terms and Conditions
will not be wavered.
No. To ensure the safety of our guests and crew whilst in port or at sea, we do not permit smoking on-board. If you wish
to smoke please choose an Itinerary that allows you time on shore.
We will have a limited selection of soft drinks and alcohol to purchase on-board during your charter. However, we
recommend you pre-order any additional drinks through our website using your online log in to avoid any disappointment
on the day.
Unfortunately, we cannot allow any water sports equipment to be brought on-board the Life of Riley due to insurance
purposes. Any water sports activities and equipment hire must be carried out through our insured partners. This is
something we will organise for you and include in the cost of your package. We also carry a limited selection of child
and adult snorkels on-board. However, if you wish to bring your own snorkels, you are more than welcome to do so.
Please note, some of our itineraries do start at different times. To ensure we set sail on time, please arrive to your
charter at the time provided to you in your booking confirmation. Any delays may result in disruption and changes to your
Yes. We will ask for these at the time of booking. If you forget to mention them, please speak to your dedicated charter
manager to make us aware before the day of your charter.
Due to the size and boarding facilities of our yacht, we are unable to safely cater for wheelchair users. For insurance
purposes, all guests need to be capable of using stairs, embarking and disembarking the yacht unaided in the event of an
emergency. During embarkation, all passengers will be asked to complete and sign a Passenger Health Questionnaire stating
that they are capable of this.
You can choose any duration you want. There is no limit. You simply pick your itineraries for each day you are on-board our
yacht and any consecutive days booked will receive a complimentary overnight stay on-board the Life of Riley.
On-board the Life of Riley we have European electrical sockets. If you require access to electric on-board during your charter,
we advise you to bring a category F, 2 pin plug adapter. As power on-board runs off batteries limited to 220V, any electrical
equipment that exceeds this will not be permitted, as this could cause permanent damage to the on-board power.
Yes. As part of any yacht charter we are required to take precautions to cover the cost of any damage caused by our guests.
This includes an accidental damage deposit of £1000, which is blocked on your credit card on the day of your charter. If no
intentional damage has been caused to the yacht by you and your party, this will be refunded at the end of your charter. However,
if you do cause damage to the yacht, the cost of repair will be taken from your deposit, with the remaining refunded to you once
the repair has been completed. Please note, the yacht is inspected before and after every charter. We do this to ensure our guests
are not held responsible for damage not caused by them. *Please note, our damage deposit only covers accidental damage. Any
passengers caught vandalising/causing damage on-board will be responsible for the full cost of any damage caused.
Although it is not compulsory to tip, if you have enjoyed your time on-board the Life of Riley and you think your
crew deserve some gratuity, then please feel free to do so. Any tips our guests wish to make will be split between your
crew. We do not take any percentage or handle any tips that have been passed to our skippers or hosts.
Yes, free internet is available on-board the Life of Riley via a Wi-Fi log in. This will be made available to
you upon embarkation.
